About Playgirls of Munich (Munich Madness)
Chuck and Barney are two sad lads with four left hands. Whatever they touch, they break; they are truly unlucky. One really wishes they'd find some job they are good, or at least not outrageously bad, at, but it does seem they are incapable of doing anything right. Except delighting the ladies. Chuck's fondest wish is to visit Munich. The women there are supposed to be exceedingly sprightly. And lo and behold: While being their usual useless selves, they fall asleep at their work - in a plane they're supposed to check - and they end up in the German Olympic city. It's not difficult to imagin that all sorts of things go wrong. But they sure never get bored!
One should own at least one classic - and this one is a great starter movie. While the 70's and 80's were the time when countless ridiculous German folk-pornos were produced, this is an American production. The point of view is inverted but there's still plenty of folklore - from an American angle, but plenty amusing.
PLAYGIRLS OF MUNICH was originally intended as episode two of a series. In the first part aptly called DUTCH TREAT, our likely lads ended up in Holland. There too they clumsily staggered from one weird situation to the next. Sadly there never were any more of their amusing adventures produced.

While I usually abhor slapstick-sex, I must say that this is a gem of erotic history, just as OLYMPIC SEX FEVER by Mike Hunter. While the two klutzes experience some fairly amusing stories, there's pretty hefty (for the time anyway) sex with "Bavarian Frauleins" to be seen.

Even though I'm a fan of (german) classics this one I did not like so much. The scenes are too short and unspecific. And there is too much comedy in my oppinion. With stars like Gisela Schwarz, Sigrun Theil, Ginny Noack and Britt Corvin one could have made more out of it. (Ultra Humanite)
