About The Pornographer
The year is 1964: James Deen is a successful filmmaker. No, hang on - make that WAS a successful filmmaker. For some reason, viewers have been staying away from his latest cinematic offerings that involve gruesome monsters and creatures. It appears that the glory days of killer grasshoppers and mutant robots are over! Deen faces a great dilemma - not even his agent can help me. But then his boss's wife shows up and lets the young director in on a secret: he needs to put women in his movies. Something lights up in Deen's mind and he comes to the conclusion that he doesn't only need chicks in his flicks, he also needs killers - killers who kill chicks! But even this new ingredient doesn't gloss over the fact that Deen's movies are hampered by really bad acting and low budgets. But then something truly remarkable happens: his crew ends up shooting real-life sex between actors one night. At first Deen feels betrayed and embarrassed, but then he realises that this could be a way of making money...lots of money. And he turns out to be right! But his success comes at a cost: Deen ends up in prison. While he remains behind bars, the world outside is changing because of Deen's invention (which is called 'porno'). Time for the director to leave those prison walls behind and join the revolution he started!

The good old times! This movie revisits the glory days of pornography. James Deen seems to be right at home in the early years of adult entertainment. Wicked spared no expense making this extravagant fuck flick that doesn't even necessarily focus on the fucking. The story is very funny and fast-paced, which makes it compelling enough to actually watch in its entirety. Naturally, there are sex scenes in this movie too, but they are carefully woven into the plot (there are even a number of anal scenes, which were taboo-breaking back in the day). It's also nice to see Kimberly Kane back in the business. Needless to say, she looks great as a 60s porn vixen.
Director Eli Cross (THE VISITOR, STAR WARS XXX, SPIDERMAN XXX, ICON) once again proves his worth as a director, handling both the sexy bits and the comedy parts with equal skill. Having James Deen in your movie certainly helps, though.

With THE PORNOGRAPHER, director Eli Cross proves once more that a porn flick can be both highly entertaining and a turn on. Besides a good script of course it's also necessary to have a talented cast. One guy that is a perfect match here is James Deen. In THE PORNOGRAPHER he plays a third-class B-movie director who, after meeting a stripper (Kimberly Kane), seeks his luck in porn. It's not a surprise that Deen manages to play the wannabe-Ed-Wood in a fantastic way. Next to Deen there is Anthony Rosano brilliantly playing a cheesy talent agent. Other members of the cast are the two Orgazmik-Eyecatcher Zoe Voss and Amber Rayne. The extra something is provided by the legendary Kylie Ireland. The very entertaining story was perfectly seasoned with hot sex scenes, from anal to facial, all there. What we get here is a perfect example of a brilliant porn movie, well crafted, great quality.
