About Pirates 2: Stagnetti's Revenge
Captain Edward Reynolds (Evan Stone) sets sail again with his predominantly female crew. The goal is to fight evil pirates - particularly a certain Asian one (played by Katsuni). Not only is she the master of all kinds of demons, she also resurrects the feared Captain Stagnetti from the depths of the ocean. Her methods are unflinchingly gruesome and include manipulation, intimidation and murder. But Cpt. Reynolds turns out to be a worthy adversary. Although he isn't exactly bright, he has two attractive, quick-witted ladies at his side: feisty Olivia (Belladonna) and commander Jules (Jesse Jane).
Reynolds, the naive beau, carries a mighty sword in his pants and is often seduced by female friendlies and enemies alike. The villains also know that a few hot female slaves make for the best entertainment. And life on the ocean leaves plenty of room for some angry lesbo sex between Olivia and Jules too.

Every sequel will immediately be compared to the original movie, which is why they generally tend to disappoint. But this one is a welcome exception to the rule. PIRATES part 1 was a critical success that set new standards when it first came out. Now, PIRATES 2 raises the bar again.
The movie is thrilling to watch on every level. There's action, sex and a healthy dose of comedy. The story is highly entertaining and has some substance as well. Plus it's packed with great special effects, impressive visuals and (most importantly) hot sex scenes. Compared to part 1, the sex is quite a bit rougher and much more varied. Instead of the obligatory 1-on-1 scenes we get tons of anal pounding, threesomes, spitting, deep-throating, spanking and even a lesbo cat fight. Naturally, this makes the sequel less couple-friendly. Hardcore friends will rejoice, though. With much finesse, director Joone weaves the sex scenes into the plot. He also keeps them well-paced so that the viewer doesn't lose the plot (extended version of the sex scenes are included with the bonus footage).
The acting abilities of the performers are impressive as well. Supported by Hollywood actors in non-sex roles, the porn stars deliver great performances - particularly Evan Stone who is a natural slapstick artist. It will be hard for anyone to top this outstanding Digital Playground production. Right now, PIRATES 2 is pretty much the most impressive movie the genre has to offer. A true masterpiece.

Ever since 'Digital Playground' announced that Joone was working on a sequel to his adult feature film PIRATES, expectations have been sky-rocketing. This comes hardly as a surprise, though, for the movie's budget was estimated to be a seven-figure sum - an amount that is almost unheard of in the adult industry.
The cast of PIRATES 2: STAGNETTI'S REVENGE is a genuine 'who-is-who' of porndom and includes lead actress Jesse Jane, superstar Belladonna, 'AVN-Performer-Of-The-Year' Sasha Grey, Eurostar Katsuni, newcomer sensation Stoya as well as veteran performers Evan Stone, Manuel Ferrara, James Deen and many, many more. No doubt this movie will (deservedly) rule the next AVN Awards! Joone did indeed raise the bar again – especially on a technical level (and with particular emphasis on the special effects). With Robby D. as his A-camera operator and an army of make-up artists behind his back, the director made every fantasy come true.
The few flaws exhibited by its predecessor were successfully eliminated in part 2. Now the lighting has improved considerably and even the sex scenes are a lot wilder than before (but still not too coarse). Carnal highlights include a hot orgy halfway through the movie as well as a climactic threesome featuring Belladonna, Sasha Grey and Evan Stone.
Although I don't generally care much for sandal flicks or pirate adventures, I have to admit that PIRATES 2: STAGNETTI'S REVENGE is erotic entertainment at its very best.

It's autumn 2008 and Digital Playground's blockbuster flagship has just sailed into the harbor. Upon first viewing it becomes immediately clear why the record numbers of pre-ordered DVDs made many mainstream movie producers want to change genres. The images are snazzy, the sex is raw and if you're willing to forget about the explicit material for a second you'll find yourself in a sumptuous pornographic adventure tale full of tentacled CGI monsters. The Playground people have successfully proven that they're clearly fit to hold a candle to Wicked Pictures (or any other remaining studio still producing 'adult feature films'). Imaginative endeavors like this one have become rare these days; let's hope there will be more of them in the future (although they don't always have to be THIS expensive). Impress your buddies with this brilliant movie - or at least make your prudish girlfriend blush. Bravo!
