Director Brad Armstrong kicks off his latest movie with a scene that stars Jenna Haze - a cunning move that is supposed to silence any potential critics out there. The director (who's also responsible for the genre's first-ever big-budget movie, DREAM QUEST) does, however, let down his audience by using condoms in all of the scenes. That's like watching a James Bond flick without a Bond girl! Interestingly enough, though, the performers use the rubbers when they fuck the girls but ditch them before they squirt in their mouths. Hmm... My money is clearly on PIRATES 2: STAGNETTI'S REVENGE because the sex scenes are much more uncompromising and the story is way better too. Despite the omnipresent condoms, FALLEN does improve after the first 2 hours (one particular highlight includes Jessica Drake getting dp'd with a rectal rubber dong and a cop's cock). Armstrong suddenly cranks up the volume and shows off his considerable talent as a director. While camera and editing are up to Armstrong's usual high standards, the story suddenly develops more layers and the sex becomes rougher. Believe it or not but Armstrong does indeed manage to turn this potential shipwreck into a winner. Hats off! I'd definitely put this on my recommended list. But for the time being, Joone's PIRATES 2: STAGNETTI'S REVENGE is clearly my favourite.
