About The Future Of Sex: 2040
According to this sex-fi flick, the year 2040 is going to be quite different from what we know - particularly in regard to the porn industry. Laws are more restrictive and people have developed new desires. Women are not just portrayed as fuck dolls anymore; now they are manufactured that way! Science makes it possible that female androids look exactly like their flesh-and-blood counterparts. But on the inside, there are still a lot of differences between the two. After all, silicon chips and a bunch of metal do not a sentient being make. Some of these artificial broads do, however, develop strong emotions for their male partners - which ultimately leads to new problems. Some people don't like it when robot women do their own way...
This big-budget movie features a number of impressive special FX and sets. But ultimately, the performers take the center stage and prove that they're more than just talented amateur actors. Director Brad Armstrong coaxes some great acting performances from these porn pros and makes sure that the sex scenes don't suffer.

Boy, these guys must have spent a load of money on this flick! Even the packaging looks like a true collector's dream. Personally, I don't care about movies that are well-packaged but ultimately disappointing (because all the money went into the marketing and not the flick itself). This, however, is not the case here. The futuristic setting is brilliantly realized (although one could have been a bit more excessive even with the budget). Unfortunately, the girls still deliver their stereotypical "oh my god, fuck me harder, yeah, yeah!" porn dialogue during the sex scenes. I like it when girls go off but this is just more of the same. Apparently, this is as good as their 'acting' gets.
Still, it's a well-made flick with excellent production values. The plot might not be particularly thrilling but it's nevertheless solid entertainment. Why on earth anyone would use a condom to fuck an android woman is beyond me tough...

Director Brad Armstrong is undeniably a master of the craft. 2040 is an ambitious porn feature film that rivals similar megabuck productions like PIRATES and PIRATES 2 - at least if you believe the hype. Just like the competition (Digital Playground's PIRATES), Wicked Pictures deliver a high-concept porn flick - without the stellar cast of the former, though. Just like PIRATES, the condoms-only sex scenes are mainly aimed at mainstream audiences. Unfortunately, 2040 comes across as even more timid than the saber-toting competition. Worse, the story is rather ludicrous. The android chicks make the horny pirates look like Oscar material! Which brings me to my main concern with this flick: the story isn't couple-friendly enough for a female audience. I mean, we're talking about THE biggest market the industry has yet to conquer (and, possibly, the future of porn)... that's right: women! Who needs this flick, then?
