About Spartacus MMXII: The Beginning
To some, a gladiator's life looks like sex and sandals all the way. But it isn't; it is full of hardships. It's about black and white, about life and death. Spartacus knows this. There is no turning back once you enter the arena. And even when he wins a battle, he never knows if his life isn't gonna get worse again. Now that he's been sold to Ludis van Batiatus, he finds out that nothing ever gets easier in the life of a gladiator. Just like the other slaves, he has to keep fighting - and at night he has to 'loan' his body to sexually starved women. Lucretia is the most demanding of the bunch. She makes sure that he trains hard during the day and fucks passionately at night. Wild sex orgies take place throughout the week. Instead of preparing for his biggest fight yet (against the invincible Adrocoles), Spartacus is sucked dry by the lusty women of Rome. Will he ever escape captivity together with his friend Crixus? You will find it hard to like this movie if you're not an avid fan of historical/costume drama and/or gladiator movies. But if this happens to be your sort of thing, you will find this flick highly entertaining throughout. Director Marcus London and producer Miko Lee went all out on this big-budget action-porno, milking enormous production value out of the costumes and locations. Apart from some bloodshed and the odd visual effects, the movie focuses on dialogue more than on FX, and while it features lots of talky scenes indeed, it also packs tons of sex into the running time. The mood is generally rather dark. The sex scenes, while okay, are not overly imaginative. But at least there's more fucking than fighting! On the whole, the movie is definitely worth your time.
