About Countdown

The movie starts off a bit lame but picks up steam along the way. After the initial run of by-the-mill US-style sex scenes (complete with silicone tits and fake sex noise), the plot actually becomes quite interesting to watch. There might be more epic end-of-the-world stories out there but Brad Armstrong nevertheless gets a lot of mileage out of this apocalyptic adult tale. Some of the props look a bit outdated but I guess that's part of the appeal. The performers deliver solid work and the sex scenes are for the most part quite interesting (although always marred by that typical US touch that doesn't do anything for me). Having said that, I am disappointed in my former fave, Alektra Blue. Her performance clearly lacks passion. What a shame.
