About The Lost Tapes
This Renee Pornero production was shot between 2005 and 2006 while the director was still active as a performer in the USA. Renee Pornero gives us access to her private video archive. It contains many intimate moments (e.g. the director performing an enema) as well as a lot of today's porn stars in early roles and without silicone (e.g. Alektra Blue and Victoria Sin). Many of the scenes were shot by Pornero herself who donned a strap-on to make the POV angle work. The result is authentic, wild and stimulating. In THE LOST TAPES, Renee Pornero shows how multi-faceted she is as a director - this time she works within the confines of the gonzo genre. Although not every scene works as a whole, the movie has a very nice intimate note that gives it additional spice. THE LOST TAPES is a good example for successful low-budget filmmaking. The only qualm I have with this flick is the atrocious German dubbing which even Pornero couldn't avoid. It just kills the mood instantly. So make sure you watch the English version on the disc!
