Dana Vespoli kicks off her directorial debut for Evil Angel with a quote from Dante: "There is no greater sorrow than to recall happiness in times of misery."
FORSAKEN begins as a mystery and ends as a drama about jealousy. But before the bloody finale, we are treated to 171 minutes of BDSM and bizarre sex of the highest order. Apart from brutish hardcore scenes, the movie also features masturbating women in scary masks, dancers in fishnet stockings, anal girl/girl sex and gushing facials.
Charming blonde Ash Hollywood is the female lead, while Manuel Ferrara and the director herself take supporting roles. Other notable stars include ORGAZMIK 'Eye-Catcher' Samantha Ryan as well as Phoenix Marie and James Deen (multiple award-winning performer in 2012).

Former ORGAZMIK 'Eye-Catcher' Dana Vespoli takes a seat in the director's chair once again. Past directorial efforts garnered Dana some positive reviews - now it's time to up the ante and step into Belladonna's shoes after her departure from Evil Angel. FORSAKEN is a big career step for Vespoli (who also happens to be Manuel Ferrara's ex-wife). I didn't have any of Vespoli's previous movie at hand before I began watching this one, but I am sure that I will check them out soon - particularly after having seen what she did with FORSAKEN. It's a very promising debut for Evil Angel and easily on par with Bobbi Starr's or Belladonna's directorial efforts. Naturally, Vespoli's movie doesn't quite reach the same level of intensity as her competitors' flicks. It is, however, still a remarkable debut. She seems to have a clear idea of what she wants to say and her directing chops are well-developed too. FORSAKEN starts out like a depraved version of 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' and then develops into a John Stagliano-inspired fuckathon. Clearly, Vespoli knows how to pay homage to her idols! I can't say that the cast is 100% my cup of tea, but the BDSM-heavy sex scenes easily make up for that. There's lots of toe-sucking, butt-banging, throat-fucking and cum-blasting over various parts of the body. Lead performer Ash Hollywood does a good job but is quickly outperformed by ORGAZMIK 'Eye-Catcher' Samantha Ryan. Gay star Wolf Hudson delivers a rather weird performance (as a dancer), while Chastity Lynn merely stars in a non-sex role. Squeamish viewers take heed: the finale is rather bloody!
