Making a bad movie with such a stellar cast is almost impossible. But Jim Powers (who normally shoots gonzo porn, if you believe it) manages to squeeze every last drop of weepy emotion out of this stellar couple-friendly porn parody that is based on 'The Notebook', hence exceeding even my already high expectations. As mentioned before, the cast is of the highest order and centres on newcomers Presley Hart and Richie Calhoun who both deliver great work. Top stars Kimberly Kane and Lily LaBeau add sexual fireworks in supporting roles. The sex is rather sensual and passionate for the most part, but it also includes some funny moments, e.g. when Kimberly Kane, Lia Lor and Richie Calhoun masturbate each other to get hot). Camera work and picture quality are outstanding, but the audio suffers from occasional glitches. They are easy to ignore, though. I have to admit, I am quite surprised about my love for DIARY OF LOVE. Doesn't happen everyday, does it?
