AMERICAN DESIRE is Lasse Braun's first movie shot in America (it even includes an Any Warhol poster on a wall). AMERICAN DESIRE tells the story of a married couple looking to find meaning and sexual pleasure in extramarital adventures. Lasse Braun ably directs brilliant performers Veronica Hart and Robert Bolla through various sex affairs until the two of them make up again. Despite the added S&M action, this movie happens to be one of Lasse Braun's more timid (prudish?) efforts. But his trademark visual style is still very evident in AMERICAN DESIRE. Needless to say, it is every bit as eye-popping as in his other movies.
