About Measure X
At the end of 2012, a measure was up for majority vote in Los Angeles. Instigated by two public health organisations, it concerns a new law that forces the mandatory use of condoms as well as safe sex practices onto the porn industry. There's lots of additional red tape involved as well, so it comes as no surprise that the adult industry has been up in arms against this new law (which they suspect is the brainchild of a few highly fanatical individuals who hold personal grudges against the industry).
Director Mike Quasar's MEASURE X takes a satirical look at the current developments in this matter. The movie exposes the pointless nature of the law and the double standards of its proponents. No one has the right to tell other people when and how they can fuck! Naturally, the movie is spiced with all sorts of sex scenes, including toy-heavy lezzie shenanigans.

The porn industry based in Los Angeles has seen better days. According to 'Measure B' (as the law is officially called), safer sex laws have to be upheld during all porn shoots - which puts great obstacles in the way of producers. This self-critical satire is sprinkled with humour and cunning insights into the moronic nature of the law in question - and the waste of taxpayers' money it represents. Tommy Pistol excels in the role of the fanatical president of the health organisation. I have to say, this man can really act. But the movie isn't just about politics - it's about penetration too. And, luckily, the sex scenes are every bit as hard-hitting as the laughs. A lezzie scene provides some welcome relief during a string of 1-on-1 vignettes. On the whole, this movie delivers great entertainment, particularly for viewers interested in the political background of the story. That said, don't expect any aesthetic pyrotechnics in MEASURE X - the producers were scrimping on production value because of the expected move of their business to another state.
