About It Starts With A Kiss (Wicked Passions)
This is the first episode in Wicked Pictures' new Passions series. Aimed at female audiences and couples, the movie presents sex in an aesthetically pleasing fashion and puts great emphasis on attractive locations. Director Skye Blue gives us five passionate short stories that revolve around the following elements: seduced by Prince Charming; picnic sex in a park; intercourse in a love swing; seduction of a car mechanic; nightly sex under the starry sky.

The brand new Passions series is nestled somewhere between Playgirl (also distributed by Wicked) and Wicked Pictures' adult feature films. There are, however, not enough new or original elements to this new series to separate it entirely from the two above-mentioned product lines. While the adult features put great emphasis on story, the Playgirl titles mostly aim to please the eye. IT STARTS WITH A KISS is closer to the latter and ditches the story lines almost entirely in order to cram as much beautifully shot, timid sex scenes with attractive men into its running time. The story fragments in the framing narratives reminded me of cheap romance novels (which are very popular, mind you), but we'll have to see if the book crowd will trade their pulp for some porno. It's ultimately a matter of taste whether or not you'll like this sort of sensual but rather fluffy pornography. The pictures are certainly pretty!
