About Eye Of The Beholder
Another big-budget feature-porn by Brad Armstrong. This time it's all about sweet Sonya (Kaylani Lei) who is plagued by unsettling visions after having eye-surgery. When she tries to find out why, she gets caught up in a mysterious porn business murder-case.
Aside from an elaborate and comparatively well thought-out plot, EYE OF THE BEHOLDER of course also offers generous helpings of sex, with a rather great line-up. The fucking is mainly in twos, but there's fivesome action too, no lack of lesbo and although the great art of anal is practiced in three scenes, the action on the whole remains mainstreamily tasteful. Which is why the audience EYE OF THE BEHOLDER - as all porn feature-films - is mainly aiming for is the less case-hardened, rather than the callous pornista.
'Wicked'-typical: the commendably extensive range of extras and special features. There's a feature that lets you switch off the dialogue or the music, or switch on the audio commentary by director Brad Armstrong and leading lady Kaylani Lei. On the bonus disc there's a half-hour 'making of', a nine-minute 'behind the scenes', two clips about the photo-shoots as well as one with mishaps during the filming, a music-video, an interview with director and female lead, a bonus-scene from BEAUTIFUL with Kaylani Lei and Steven St. Croix plus one from RED DRAGON with Charmane Star and Sydnee Steele, no less than ten photo galleries, four biographies and much, much more.

My colleague Sheherazade is undoubtedly going to cream her pants over this flick and I too reluctantly recommend this top-grade feature-porn, despite the fact that the debaucheries could do with being tougher, and that those bloody omnipresent condoms are as annoying as ever. Once more 'Wicked' proves itself as the number one producer of first-class mainstream-porn. The plot is as well thought out as is hardly ever the case in this genre. Last but not least, the line-up is exceedingly pleasant, featuring not only the 'usual suspects' such as Jessica Drake and Lezley Zen, but also such super-sluts (and ORGAZMIK 'Eye-Catchers') as Lauren Phoenix, Taylor Rain and Monica Sweetheart. If you like feature-porn you absolutely have to take a peek at this, hardcore-loving bastards less so.

A suspense-filled story cast with really good actors and a solid plot which takes center stage has very little to do with hot porn as far as I'm concerned. The certain something is lacking. Too much talk and not enough hot fucks. The leading lady sure is one hell of a cutie and I would have wished to see more sexy action from her. The few fucks there are, are prettily shot and erotically charged. A great movie for couples who like Hollywood-style action and are in the mood for watching an entertaining and a slightly crazy story.
