Brooklyn Lee (VORACIOUS) takes on the role originally inhabited by legendary Marilyn Chambers. She stars as Hope, a young unemployed woman living on the street. Hope is looking for her real parents and a second chance at life. But life on the streets of San Francisco is tough; Hope soon becomes embroiled with gangsters from the city's red light district. The story climaxes in an insanely sexy but also perverted orgy in a dingy night club.

Brooklyn Lee might not be on my personal A-list, but like in John Stagliano's marvellous VORACIOUS she delivers a fantastic performance in THE NEW BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR and hence definitely deserves my praise. From the first minute to the last, Brooklyn never fails to entertain on the highest level. She is ably supported by co-stars like the great Dana DeArmond and charismatic male lead James Deen. THE NEW BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR is a sort-of remake of the porn classic BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR and offers copious amounts of depraved hardcore action - complete with anal sex, double penetrations and a costume-heavy orgy. Multiple-award-winning director Paul Thomas delivers a great-looking movie that compares favourably to his critically and commercially successful remake of THE DEVIL IN MISS JONES made some years ago. Like THE NEW DEVIL IN MISS JONES, THE NEW BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR often strays far from the plot of the original movie. As a result, Paul Thomas' version - while quite accomplished in its own right - falls a bit flat in the story department, lacking the subtle twists of the Mitchell Brothers' original tale. In terms of the technical execution, the original still remains the gold standard as well. However, Paul Thomas does try his best to make a movie worthy of the original, even going so far as to putting original cast member Johnnie Keyes on the payroll and featuring McKenna Taylor (Marilyn Chambers' daughter) in the behind-the-scenes interview.
