About Shades of hades
Mickey has a serious problem: he's dying in the gutter. While paramedics are desperately trying to resuscitate him, Mickey is mentally re-living the key moments of his life: the time he broke his leg as a boy, his (unrequited) love for an older woman, an abortion, his nagging mom. Nailed to a cross he meets the female ghosts of the past who invite him to a special kind of sex orgy - one that involves umbilical cords... But ultimately this series of sexually-charged nightmares ends and Mickey finds peace in the afterlife.

This porn drama (shot for Robert Black's notorious Extreme Associate's label) earned its whiz-kid director a reputation for being the genre's "enfant terrible". In terms of bleakness SHADES OF HADES is hard to beat (a documentary on childrens' hospitals in war-torn Iraq might compete). Viewers beware: highly eccentric and hardly arousing sex scenes.
