With TAXI DRIVER, General Stone delivers an entertaining and seriously stimulating porn parody that delivers plenty of thrills (but falls short of the original in that department, of course). Comparing Tommy Pistol's performance as cab driver Travis Bickle to Rober De Niro's original would be unfair, of course, but it most be noted that Pistol does a convincing job nevertheless. The success of a movie like this depends entirely on the casting of the lead role; luckily, Pistol was the right man for the job and the results are impressive. Jessie Andrews takes the role of young prostitute Iris (played by a 13-year-old Jodie Foster in the original) and does a commendable job too. While the scenes set in a porn cinema fall a bit flat, there's a redeeming moment in a taxi that stars Misty Stone. The MILF scene starring Nikki Charm and Sean Michaels is certainly not a bad idea but it's not quite my cup of tea, if I'm honest. Overall, this is a carefully constructed porn parody. Time will tell if this was just a lucky shot for the Pleasure Dynasty label. Right now, however, I'm glad they released this flick. Congrats all round!
