This story is set in a time when horse-drawn carriages populated the streets and people still had time to sit down for tea in the middle of the afternoon. It is exactly during such a break that desperate mother Nica Noelle reveals to her best friend (Julia Ann) that her son (Xander Corvus) has strayed from the path of righteousness. Nica begs her friend to take care of her troubled offspring and teach him a few life lessons. But Julia soon learns that her friend's son is no longer an innocent boy. He's a young man now - a young man with certain sexual needs. Soon enough, Julia and Xander get intimate with each other, as a secret love develops between the two. But when mother Nica catches wind of the affair, she introduces her son to young Lily LaBeau, hoping that this new acquaintance will make him forget about Julia. A sexy story in a rather unfamiliar setting. If you like the 'Mozart groove', you're probably in the right movie. Together with the other cast members, director Nica Noelle dresses up in period costume and even adopts a British accent. The period detail is really impressive, as are the performances. Nica takes her time to tell the story, sometimes only hinting at sex scenes (several times) before they actually happen (20 minutes later or so). This actually worked quite well for me. Others might disagree, though. I can't say how many movies I've seen where the first fuck scene happens after only five minutes of dialogue (a rhythm that is then repeated over the duration of the movie).
Sweet Sinner movies are generally aimed at women and couples; MY MOTHER'S BEST FRIEND 4 fits this mould perfectly. While the sex scenes are quite intense at times, they are never crass. There is neither anal sex nor cum-guzzling on display here. Only Manuel Ferrara can't behave himself and has to plunge a finger into a girl's a-hole. But at least the cumshots are always aimed at the girls' bodies throughout the movie.
