It's hard to say if this black&white silent porno will find its audience. After all, the whole thing feels more like an elaborate gag rather than a proper sex flick. Unlike the excellent original, THIS AIN'T THE ARTIST XXX doesn't have much of a plotline - which is no surprise, as most of the scenes were culled from movies like PIN-UP PUSSY or PAGING BETTY. In other words: this supposed movie is really just a compilation. Most scenes don't benefit from the black&white treatment at all (some were even left in colour). Sometimes the silicone tits look like they're made out of cardboard or plastic. I seriously doubt that this monochromatic porno will find a wider audience. The couple-friendly/female market is probably its likeliest target (still, no easy sell!). The silent movie 'soundtrack' replaces any sex noise or production sound that was present during the shooting of the scenes. Some might find this funny to watch, others will most likely be annoyed. At the end of the movie, the (unnamed) producer is asked if he's not just re-cycling old movie footage in a cunning way. Sounds very familiar, doesn't it?
