Neu Wave Hookers
Two whacky daughters of joy (Joanna Angel and Riley Mason) buy an original edition of the porn-classic NEW WAVE HOOKERS by Gregory Dark on a flea-market. With their lusty bosom-buddies Justine Joli, Felix Vicious, Sierra Sinn and Tiger they watch the little sin-flick. Their fantasies take them away and they drift further and further into obscure dreams of passion and sex. Inspired by the hot flick the girls later break into the production offices of 'VCA' and stumble across the scandalous files of the case of Traci Lords (who, as it turned out, had been starring in porn when still a minor).
In NEU WAVE HOOKERS director Eon McKai (KILL GIRL KILL) does refer to his great role-model Gregory Dark, but NEU WAVE HOOKERS is not a classic remake of NEW WAVE HOOKERS. Once more McKai delights by his peculiar imagery; especially worthy of mention: the high-quality electro-soundtrack (this too an hommage to the classic which in its day excelled with a great new-wave soundtrack). Eon's cast are once more from the scene around the alternative-strip- and burlesque-troupe 'The Suicide Girls'. The high point is a lesbian orgy towards the end of the film. Shot in HD in widescreen format (16:9).
NEU WAVE HOOKERS consists of two DVDs. The main movie is on disc 1, the extras (Audio commentary, making of, 26-minute 'behind the scenes', outtakes, photos, trailers) are on disc 2.
