About Neu Wave Hookers
Two whacky daughters of joy (Joanna Angel and Riley Mason) buy an original edition of the porn-classic NEW WAVE HOOKERS by Gregory Dark on a flea-market. With their lusty bosom-buddies Justine Joli, Felix Vicious, Sierra Sinn and Tiger they watch the little sin-flick. Their fantasies take them away and they drift further and further into obscure dreams of passion and sex. Inspired by the hot flick the girls later break into the production offices of 'VCA' and stumble across the scandalous files of the case of Traci Lords (who, as it turned out, had been starring in porn when still a minor).
In NEU WAVE HOOKERS director Eon McKai (KILL GIRL KILL) does refer to his great role-model Gregory Dark, but NEU WAVE HOOKERS is not a classic remake of NEW WAVE HOOKERS. Once more McKai delights by his peculiar imagery; especially worthy of mention: the high-quality electro-soundtrack (this too an hommage to the classic which in its day excelled with a great new-wave soundtrack). Eon's cast are once more from the scene around the alternative-strip- and burlesque-troupe 'The Suicide Girls'. The high point is a lesbian orgy towards the end of the film. Shot in HD in widescreen format (16:9).
NEU WAVE HOOKERS consists of two DVDs. The main movie is on disc 1, the extras (Audio commentary, making of, 26-minute 'behind the scenes', outtakes, photos, trailers) are on disc 2.

This first: NEU WAVE HOOKERS is a brilliant erotic-flick! But if you're expecting a pure rabbit-fucking flick this is not the right film for you. NEU WAVE HOOKERS is an experimental film, a music video and couple-friendly sex film all rolled into one. The line-up is highly pleasant. With Joanna Angel (herself the director of alernative-porn JOANNA'S ANGELS) and Justine Joli there's two ORGAZMIK 'Eye-Catchers' present, in the blokes' department they hired Dirty Harry as alter ego 'Old Man's Hands' and ORGAZMIK-Award-winner James Deen is thrown in the mix too. The sex is relatively tame, but never boring or somnipherous. In NEU WAVE HOOKERS the exceptionally talented Eon McKai once more sets a higher benchmark for creative porn. And at the latest by the time that James Deen and Tommy Pistol make a musical of this porn-movie will this film will be a monument for eternity!

His reinterpretation of a 1984 classic pulls out all the stops in the "look & feel" department. This is one of those daft advertising terms which can here be uttered for the first time without blushing in shame. Eon McKai makes films for a young audience which can count itself lucky to be seduced by such hip genital acrobatics: pure electro-pop-porn!

The clothes and music strongly remind me of my new-wave days. In stripy tights, stripy, sleeveless tops and hung with wild jewellery galore we went in search of men. I seem to remember reacting in similar ways to the first touches as the girls in this film do. A bit shy at first, but wild as hell once we got going. The girls are all very young and look very natural, which I rather like. Camera and lighting aren't always ideal, so a lot of the sex-play stays hidden in shadow. And as far as I'm concerned they could have done with more classy sets. But maybe simplicity's what's trendy and the reason they chose to re-make this classic. My favourite scene is the merry threesome. This brings a bit more action into the proceedings, which are othewise quite tame.
