I have to admit that I've never before seen a casting movie sans ratty-looking casting couch. In Nacho Vidal's FUCKING CASTINGS the girls have to answer one or two questions before they are asked to spread on the man's bed. Some of the chicks get fucked even before they've made it through the door (well, not literally, but you get the idea). Judging by their dreadlocks, pink crew cuts and heavily tattooed bodies, the female cast members appear to be part of Barcelona's indie scene. Which is fair enough, of course: as this isn't your average casting flick, I am not surprised to see that the cast isn't your average porno line-up either! When you take a closer look at the action (as captured by Nacho) you do notice quite a few things that make this a rather unique flick, e.g. unusual casting action, indie models, shaky camera work and mediocre sound quality. Personally, I don't mind Nacho's style in 2013; I like the girls as well. The sex is unexpectedly brutish and animalistic, particularly in regard to the hippie talents of the cast. Nacho also prefers to cum over the girls' asses rather than into their faces (as is evident in a number of scenes). Is this his latest fad? I can't say I'm delighted to see this, but that's purely a personal thing. On the whole, these are minor quibbles rather than fatal flaws. As I said before, I am generally quite happy with Nacho's current direction.
