Munich-based director Jens Hoffmann spent one and a half years in the San Fernando valley (the epicentre of the American porn industry) shooting material for his documentary. He also visited some of the most important people and places in the European adult business.
The result is 9 TO 5 DAYS IN PORN which offers an honest and (at times) unflattering look at the international porno industry. Influential agent Mark Spiegler, directors John Stagliano and Jim Powers and performers like Belladonna, Sasha Grey and Otto Bauer are among the people interviewed in this movie.
The movie looks at the people in the industry, their backgrounds and motivation. Who are they? Why are they working in this industry? Is porn a way of life? Ten story lines shed light on the everyday life of the protagonists and give us insight into their hopes and dreams.
