Director Max Candy produced this adaptation of Quentin Tarantino's trashy war flick INGLORIOUS BASTERDS for legendary French label Marc Dorcel.
WWII in Europe: The Germans have occupied France and are terrorizing its population, raping and killing civilians everywhere. There is little hope left to fight against the fascist superpower. But then a group of brave hookers join the resistance when their favourite client/lover is killed by a Gestapo murder squad. Using their bodies as weapons, these girls turn the tables on the Nazis and - quite literally - ride them into the ground (or into the mattress, at least). Will their sex trap work to free their country or is their sexy mission doomed to fail?

This French feature film produced by the posh Marc Dorcel label proves that while it's possible to make glossy big-budget porn movies in Europe too, the Americans are still clearly ahead of the game in this regard. A few European directors quite successfully tried their hand at this sort of movie in the past, e.g. Spaniard Roberto Valtuena (THE GIFT, DOG WORLD) and German Al Bundy (BETTY BI: MISSION), so it comes as a bit of a surprise that Max Candy (SENSORY OVERLOAD) fails to up the ante. While INGLORIOUS BITCHES is certainly not a bad movie, it doesn't make much of the premise. Neither the sex nor the feature film elements really work. And while Candy's camera work is generally quite good, the picture is underexposed most of the time. The story is quite long-winded and not really funny enough to be called a parody. The sex scenes feature lots of uniforms and garter belts but there's no nasty stuff like anal. Needless to say, French producers tend to insist on condoms, but I'm not gonna go into that here. The cast is the main problem, really. I don't expect Oscar-worthy performances from a porno, but these stars and starlets are so one-dimensional they will make your face fall asleep! If this was an American production, I'm sure it would star girls like Kimberly Kane, Dana DeArmond, Bobbi Starr or even Andy San Dimas - girls who know how to spice things up! Who knows, maybe the Yanks will grace us with their own spoof of the same movie soon. We'll see. That said, the Americans have yet to produce a good spoof of a Tarantino movie too - neither PULP FRICTION, JILL KILL or REZERVOIR DOGS were any good. This doesn't make the disappointing INGLORIOUS BITCHES any better, of course. It's just a shame that the flick doesn't work better on the feature film level (because it's really not that bad as a simple porno).
