About Sanatorium
Pornstar Tabitha Stevens in a rather auto-biographical part: she plays a woman who admits openly that she likes hot, extra-marital sex and in turn suffers the usual consequences for her openness (i.e. people call her a slut). It doesn't help that she's a porn producer either! During her long career as a performer, Tabitha had to learn over and over again that she's really just a piece of meat for mots of her peers. But one day she has a vision during a porn shoot and her life is given new meaning. She embarks on a crusade against injustice, political hypocrisy, moralists and do-gooders. It's a path strewn with obstacles but Tabitha rolls with the punches and courageously fights any opponents that want to kill her spirit.

I'm the first one to admit that this movie is a grand little masterpiece with an artsy touch. The story is well-told and beautifully crafted. The scarier moments are a bit brief compared to the glossy sex scenes and could have been explored further. Unfortunately, I find the lead performer rather unattractive - partly because of her big silicone tits. If they had cast someone else in this role, I'd be tempted to give this movie top marks. While the movie is clearly a masterpiece, the leading lady doesn't do anything for me. It's a purely personal thing, of course, and should not deter anyone from seeing this little gem!

I've been wanting to see this movie for a while now, particularly with all the positive reviews out there. Now that this moment has finally come and passed, I am glad to report that I feel equally enthusiastic about this flick. It's a fast-paced adult feature film that grabs you almost instantly. Not your run-of-the-mill, seen-it-before story but a proper exercise in quality from director Orona. The acting is good and the camera work scores extra points with some impressive outdoor photography. I'd recommend this title for couples as well. While the movie has many visual delights, the high number of silicone tits are not among them.
