In BEYOND FUCKED - A ZOMBIE ODYSSEY, Bonnie Rotten plays a bounty hunter who is among the last few survivors of an apocalypse. The cause of the apocalypse was a weight-loss pill that turned people into slobbering zombies as a side effect. Years after the downfall of civilisation, only few healthy men are still alive - and even fewer of them are still fertile. Crazy scientist Dr. Life hires Bonnie Rotten to find those virile males and collect their precious semen. The clock is ticking: will Bonnie manage to find them and retrieve the life-fluid? Will she be able to defend herself against hordes of horny zombies?

If you believe trade publications like AVN Magazine, BEYOND FUCKED - A ZOMBIE ODYSSEY is one of the most popular pre-order titles of 2013. It is also the fourth directorial effort by adult performer Tommy Pistol (who also starred in various indie horror flicks, e.g. 'Frankie in Blunderland', under his real name). Although BEYOND FUCKED - A ZOMBIE ODYSSEY hints at Homer's Odyssey, the movie bears precious little resemblance to the literary epic. Unlike Pistol's previous efforts, this zombie romp is rather unconventional and bizarre (and hence probably closer to the man's heart than his other, more mainstream movies). BEYOND FUCKED - A ZOMBIE ODYSSEY is a rather weird fuck flick that looks and plays like a B-movie. But the story picks up steam as the events unfold. By the end of the movie you actually feel like you're watching a properly plotted yarn. The cast is adequate, particularly lead performer Bonnie Rotten (although other performers also deliver noteworthy work). Personal faves also include Asphyxia Noir (no surprise there) and Nikki Hearts (the real discovery of this movie, despite only starring in a lezzie scene!). The Minion, Chico Wang's former companion, makes a welcome comeback in this movie. The sex scenes are not overly imaginative but satisfyingly intense. The movie sports good picture quality and outstanding FX work but the sound is a bit lacking (specially during the first scene). In any case, BEYOND FUCKED - A ZOMBIE ODYSSEY is a nice change of pace from by-the-numbers adult movie fare.
