About High Rise
Tamie has problems enjoying sex. Her psychiatrist recommends she go to a notorious high-rise in New York and let herself go. On the 13th floor she encounters a sex-driven toy-collector. On floor 17 there's three lesbians doing the dirty on a comfortable bed and on the top-floor there's a fancy-dress party in full swing, where, from sex in the coffin to merry threesomes before an Orson Welles-poster there's just about everything on offer. Brilliant "socially conscious" comedy from Danny Steinman who latter went on to direct Friday the 13th 5 and Savage Streets with Linda Blair. While formated as a vignette film, High Rise is one of the strongest and most enjoyable hardcore features made before 1975. Particular note to its outstanding set design and exceptionally high production values. Oh, and it also features maybe the best original score ever written for an X Rated film! (Classix Comments)
