Shot on 35mm-film ALEXANDRA from 1983 was one of the last attempts to make a sex-film for a wide audience. Which doesn't mean they're skimpy with the sex. No one will buy this classic for the sex-scenes alone anyway. Rather for it being a late example for porn in the spirit of the golden seventies. With all the associated marks of quality: relatively well plotted story, eloquent production - as well as weird and weirdly short sex-scenes.
The story is all about some mysterious stranger bringing upheaval into the love-life of three couples. As usual with the 'Collectors Edition' there's a whole heap of useful extras: A commentary by porn-director and -historian Jim Holliday, excerpts from the original press-release and three photo galleries.
