About Official Californication Parody
Popular TV series 'Californication' (starring 'The X-Files's' David Duchovny) is a biting satire about life and love in the shark pool called Hollywood. Promiscuous sex and alcohol/drug abuse are some of the themes covered by the series.
In director Nate Liquor's porn parody, the sexual moments are a bit more explicit, of course. Anthony Rosano stars as Hank Moody and spends most of the running time of OFFICIAL CALIFORNICATION PARODY with his pants around his ankles. Apart from a sex relationship with his ex, he also has to deal with his pubescent daughter and her many lovers and his publisher, who harasses him about writing the memoirs of a porn performer. With so many problems, it's only natural that Hank would pick up the bottle occasionally...or his cock...or both at the same time.
An entertaining parody with saliva-dripping blowjobs, rough anal sex, wild parties, squishy cumshots and an all-star line-up that includes Kimberly Kane, Violet Monroe and Ashli Orion.

Diabolic have picked quite an ambitious project to jump on the spoof band wagon. Expectations are high and there's a lot of pressure on director Nate Liquor. Anthony Rosano is admittedly the perfect performer to play Hank Moody and the rest of the line-up (e.g. stars like ORGAZMIK 'Eye-Catchers' Kimberly Kane and Violet Monroe). I was also quite fond of Jynx Maze (once again). Director Nate Liquor is a talented guy but he's definitely no Lee Roy Myers (the king of parody). There are a few welcome laughs but in the end the story is just too thin. The original series offers a wealth of material to spoof but Liquor never really exploits the full potential of the parody. The sex scenes, however, are obviously his forte. There's even an anal scene with Violet Monroe (among other things, of course). There are some good ideas in this movie but overall it's just not good enough to be worthy of recommendation.
